Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

To view quotes, the tool only needs your gender, date of birth, general health level, whether you use tobacco products, your preferred coverage amount and how long you want the term. That's six simple answers, enough for carriers to return prices. Your full name, address and detailed health history are only requested if you elect to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

Those are the rates each carrier quoted for the health level you indicated in the tool. After you apply, the carrier does its own underwriting and may confirm your class, improve it or change it. The rates you see here are estimates for comparison only, not an offer or guarantee of coverage. The final premium is determined through underwriting.

What happens when I click Apply?

Your name goes into the application, which then opens on the carriers' secure platform, already filled with the information you entered here. The process continues there. You're able to exit and return later, and you'll sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agent (License 0B75129), handles all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies by the company, the amount you want and what you told us. Many carriers today feature accelerated underwriting for eligible candidates; each quote on this site tells you whether the carrier expects to order an exam, might order one, or doesn't require one.

Is a longer term better?

A term you select covers the years when losing your income would hurt your family most: a home loan, kids under your roof, a business obligation. Longer durations cost more monthly but lock in your rate for a longer period. The tool allows you to compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms across all carriers at once.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool collects no personal contact information. We don't resell or pass along personal data, we run no advertising trackers, and our analytics use no cookies. For specifics about what's collected and by whom, see the privacy page.
